WAGR Meetup 2023

Dallas-Fort Worth, TX June 23-25

The 2023 WAGR Family Gathering in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX was beautifully hosted by the Rogers family and generously funded through a donation from WAGR Warriors. It was a wonderful and relaxed opportunity for families to meet with others who understood the stressful challenges and special joys of caring for a person with WAGR syndrome!

Weekend Agenda

Friday, June 23rd

3-5:00 pm: Check-in @ Hotel
5:30 pm: Welcome Dinner @ The Rogers Home (crafts, swimming, playground, fire pit)

Saturday, June 24th

9-12:00: Fort Worth Zoo
12:30-3:00: Picnic @ Dream Park Fort Worth (large, inclusive playground with train right next to the zoo!)
3:00-5:30: Downtime
5:30-6:30: Dinner @ YMCA
6:30-9:00: Parents night out (Parents enjoyed dessert, chatting, and growing together as WAGR parents)
6:30-9:00: Kids night in (Kids and young adults spent time at the YMCA playing games, doing crafts, etc. They were supervised by adults who specialize in working with children of all abilities)
