IWSA Supports Gene Vision

A new website, Gene Vision, launched on December 1st. It was developed by Professor Mariya Moosajee and Dr Alex Yeong, and supported by Dr Peter Thomas, Director of Digital Innovation at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, United Kingdom. The new site is intended for adults, children and their families who are diagnosed with rare genetic eye diseases and related disorders.

The new website:

• Includes condition-specific information for patients and their families
• Shares current research and clinical trials
• Acts as a resource for health care professionals
• Provides information for GPs and other referring specialists

The International WAGR Syndrome Association contributed content for the WAGR syndrome pages for patients and medical professionals. IWSA families also joined forces to create a video of hope and encouragement to newly diagnosed families by helping them realize that support is available and they are not alone.
