To start, it is of course super nice to have her as my sister! In my opinion, she is just like any other child in many things. But, sometimes when she plays with other children her age, you see that she does not understand everything like they do. That is not an issue for me.
Sometimes, it is difficult because she needs more support. For example, when we go to the city and she is not able to walk long distances and stay with us. We now have to take a custom stroller to take her with us. It is also difficult that she does not see very well and, therefore, you have to take a lot of things into account. I just try to help her so much if I can, and I think it is going pretty well :)
I am happy to be her sister and I am very proud of what she can do already. To me, she is just Maelynn, who happens to have WAGR syndrome.
